Born on the 21st May 1970 in Chester, England, Stephen Philip Morris was the first child of Phil and Judy Morris. Steve was later, joined by a brother (Andy) in 1973 and a sister (Kate) in 1976.
Aged six, Steve moved with his family to Kent, England. It was here, his quest for knowledge began at Langley Park School where he gained ten O-Levels.
In 1987, Steve and his family returned to an area close to Chester (The Wirral). Here, Steve attended Calday Grange Grammar School, leaving with five A-Levels. Following his passion for computing, he went on to gain an Honours Degree in Computer Science from Loughborough University.
Graduating in 1992, Steve then secured employment with Rank Xerox as an Oracle Database Administrator.
Indicative of his skill and determination, Steve moved on in 1994, to found Delphi Services Limited; a company established to work with Oracle Databases.
It was during this time that Steve began to research his family history. Through this, Steve learnt of a branch of the family in America making several trips to re-establish contact. In March 1996, Steve, with a wish to see more of the U.S.A., undertook a contract in California leaving Manchester Airport in April 1996.
In 1998 Steve began to work for Oracle directly, progressing to Technical Manager. In this role, Steve travelled all over America from his base in Atlanta, Georgia. Steve finally moved to Daytona Beach, Florida in 2001.
Steve was known by all as an extremely kind, sincere and generous man. Professionally, his intelligence and skill in the field of computing, combined with his enthusiasm and warm personality, gained him great respect in his field.
A true giant among men, touching and inspiring those, fortunate enough to have met him.
He is greatly missed.
